Dr. Jayme Neiman-Kimel
Dr. Jayme Neiman-Kimel, Ph.D. is a board certified pediatric neuropsychologist and leading specialist in neuropsychological assessment for children and adults. Over the last 25 years, Dr. Neiman-Kimel has built a practice that has provided service to hundreds of clients, schools and expert witness testimony.
Dr. Neiman-Kimel also maintains a private clinical practice providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. Dr. Neiman-Kimel is a Board Certified Pediatric Neuropsychologist and has been licensed in the state of California since 1992. In 2000, Dr. Neiman-Kimel earned her post-doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology with an emphasis in pediatrics. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine in 1989.
Dr. Neiman-Kimel’s practice focuses on providing developmental, behavioral, and cognitive assessments. Her approach is to develop a fully integrated plan incorporating leading specialists in the field to provide a comprehensive approach to clearly understanding and supporting the developmental and cognitive needs of the child.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Neiman Kimel is the primary developer for Thrively, an e-based strengths-based assessment used in school districts across the country; acts as a supervisor to clinicians and learning specialists in the community; and is a founding board member of the Child Success Foundation. Dr. Neiman-Kimel is also involved in numerous charitable organizations including Camp Ronald McDonald.
Professional memberships include American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology (AAPdN), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), American Psychological Association (APA), Society for Clinical Neuropsychology (SCN) and California Psychological Association (CPA). Dr. Sloane K Sabistina
Formerly Dr. Miller, Dr. Sabistina, PsyD, is a clinical neuropsychologist with extensive experience in conducting evaluations of children, adolescents and adults. Just prior to moving to Los Angeles, Dr. Sabistina was an Instructor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Additionally, she worked in private practice in New York City.
Prior to her clinical practice, Dr. Sabistina completed an American Psychological Association-accredited pre-doctoral internship and two-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center. While at NYU she trained in both inpatient and outpatient services conducting neuropsychological assessments and providing cognitive remediation and psychotherapy to adult and pediatric patients with a variety of complex medical conditions.
Before entering her post-doctoral education Dr. Sabistina trained for three years at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Dr. Sabistina also trained for two years at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center where she evaluated adults in the Neurology Department and children/adolescents in the Pediatric Oncology Department. Dr. Sabistina’s experience in the school setting includes the UCLA Lab School where she provided social-skills training, psychotherapy as well as evaluations of students with ADHD and/or learning disorders.
A California-native, Dr. Sabistina earned her Masters and Doctorate from Pepperdine University and her Bachelors from the University of California, Berkeley.
